United Way’s annual luncheon is a yearly celebration of the generosity and philanthropy within our community. We will acknowledge the commitment and dedication of those who made United Way’s investment in our community partners possible and honor this year’s Volunteer Service Award winner.
SERVICE AWARD WINNERS
Our Volunteer Service Award winner is the most exciting part of this event. Since 1989, the United Way of Abilene has honored one person or family who exemplifies community service. By way of background the United Way bylaws direct that the Volunteer Service Award is presented to a person who has a great devotion to Abilene and its people, who is persistent in seeking and fulfilling volunteer obligations, and who is actively involved in community activities in addition to the United Way.
