BEAT THE HEAT FAN DRIVE
For over 20 years, TXU Energy and United Way of Abilene have joined forces to offer much-needed relief to those most affected by the summer heat. We understand that summer in Texas can add additional financial stress, and we’re here to help.
HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT
The fan donation initiative is part of TXU Energy’s Beat the Heat program, which collaborates with community service organizations across the state. This program aims to help Texans stay cool during the summer while promoting heat safety and energy conservation. Over the years, Beat the Heat has helped thousands of Texans stay comfortable and safe.
United Way of Abilene collects the fans and distributes them through our partner agencies, which serve the most vulnerable populations. These fans are then given to families through our Basic Needs Network, a collaboration of non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting West Central Texans. If you or someone you know needs a fan, please reach out to 211 for assistance.

Fan availability is subject to change depending on the season.
TXU ENERGY CUSTOMER RELIEF
TXU Energy continues to support customers with bill-payment assistance through its TXU Energy Aid (SM) program. For more than 35 years, these funds—donated by employees, customers, and the company—have been distributed by TXU Energy Aid partner agencies.
