#AbileneUnited Winter Storm Recovery Program
City Light Ministries will again help coordinate efforts to help provide relief for those still recovering from the recent winter storm. Through a grant from United Way of Abilene, residents of Taylor county experiencing larger utility bills (gas, water, electric) can apply for financial assistance. To be eligible for this program, applicants must live within Taylor County and meet certain income requirements.
Once the application for assistance is approved, payment will be made directly to the utility provider.
Eligibility: Homeowners/renters with low or fixed income.
Documents Required: Valid ID, documents for income and/or fixed income sources, and the utility bill covering one or more days from February 15-20, 2021 plus a prior month’s bill.

Beltway Park’s Boots on the Ground Ministry, through a grant from United Way of Abilene, will be coordinating efforts to help those who need assistance with plumbing issues due to last week’s storm. To be eligible for this program, applicants must live within Taylor County and meet certain income requirements.
Eligibility: Homeowners with low fixed income either with or without insurance or with a high deductible homeowners are unable to meet.
Documents Required: Valid ID, documents for income and/or fixed income sources; if the homeowners have insurance, documents showing the deductible amount.
